The A380 has been in passenger service for over five years with over 100 aircraft in daily operation around the world. This talk describes the journey so far in getting the world’s largest civil passenger aircraft into service and some of the issues that have been faced along the way. Our speaker is John Roberts, who is the Chief Engineer A380 for Airbus in the UK and a member of the UKTI Advanced Engineering Strategy Board. In this role he is responsible for the technical activity carried out on the wing, landing gear and fuel management system.
